Any one of the thirty NBA teams would be lying if they said that they would not want to acquire the 14-time NBA All-Star, three-time league MVP, and three-time NBA Finals Champion during the impending offseason.

LeBron James, a thirty-three-year-old veteran, has proven to the world that he is like a fine wine: he gets better with age. Currently, he is posting numbers better than his fifteen-year career average in almost every category. Having lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Eastern Conference Finals, James currently leads his team in per game statistics such as points, assists, blocks, and steals.and posting statistics.

After the 2017-2018 season, LeBron James will become a free agent, which has caused a frenzy of marketing tactics by NBA teams, players, and fans in order to persuade him to join their respective teams. A home remodeling business in Chester, Pennsylvania expressed their aspiration for LeBron to become a Philadelphia 76er by putting up three billboards in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. The first two billboards have the phrases “#PHILLYWANTSLEBRON,” “COMPLETETHEPROCESS,” and the third consists of four of Philadelphia’s starting five players and an addition of LeBron James.

The 76ers and their fanbase aren’t the only ones that want to acquire King James in the offseason. Enes Kanter, a current player of the New York Knicks and previous antagonist of LeBron James, has shown that he’d like to play alongside Lebron in the 2018-2019 season in a passive aggressive manner. He tweeted a video of himself challenging LeBron James to see if he’d be “The King of New York.” Only time will tell if this unusual tactic of recruiting James will prove to be genius or foolish.

As all of the NBA anticipates where LeBron will take his game next season, more interesting methods of persuasion are surely to come up.
