Chris Kyle is known to be one of the deadliest snipers in American history, killing over 160 people while serving as a Navy SEAL. During his four tours in Iraq, Kyle survived six IED (individualized explosive device) attacks, three gunshot wounds, two helicopter crashes, and countless surgeries, most of them he could not remember.

“His dedication to his fellow American troops was intense and overpowering. On several well-documented occasions, he deliberately put his life in grave danger to save other Americans. Protecting American lives, he told me, was his driving force,” said one writer who interviewed Chris, in Baghdad; during one of his tours. Kyle’s first tour was on the initial invasion in 2003, Fallujah in 2004, Ramadi in 2006, and Baghdad in 2008 for his final tour.

On an ordinary day in Texas, Kyle and friend Chad Littlefield lost their lives at a gun range on February 2, 2013.

Eddie Ray Ruth former Marine, was convicted on a murder trial against Kyle, pleading not guilty with reason of insanity. “The defense’s medical expert, Dr. Mitchell Dunn, said on Thursday that Routh was schizophrenic and thought Kyle and Littlefield were ‘some kind of pig assassins, or hybrid pigs sent to kill people.’”

According to Dr. Michael Arambula; a forensic psychiatrist, Kyle’s alleged killer was under the influence of drugs and alcohol during the time of the killings and the thought of insanity was no longer a question.

On February 24, 2015, it was announced on several new stations, such as NBC, NPR, and Fox News, that Kyle’s trial is now over with Ruth being found guilty; he admitted to the killings of the two men.
